• SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL COMMUNITY ENERGY GROUP

We need community members, volunteers and investors to make a real difference – can you help?

Become a Member

You can support Buckinghamshire Community Energy by becoming a Member.

Members pay £10 for lifetime membership and these funds are used to cover running and development costs such as insurance, website hosting, online services fees and professional services such as secretarial and financial support, and technical and planning advice for project development.

As a Member, you get a vote at the AGM on any proposals that the Board puts forward to the Membership for approval.

You will also be added to our Members mailing list and will receive updates and information about investment opportunities when we launch a community share offer.

Members are vital for us to continue our development work, but also it is essential that a community energy group has support from its local community.

How to join

To become a Member, please click here for the Member Share Offer information and application form.

To become a Member, you need to invest in a minimum of one Share by transferring £10 via BACS to the Buckinghamshire Community Energy bank account as follows:

Account name: Buckinghamshire Community Energy
Sort code: 08-92-99
Account number: 67224984

Thank you in advance for your support – we can’t do it without you!

Donate

Buckinghamshire Community Energy is run and funded by Volunteers, who are also the five Board Members.

We are actively developing renewable energy projects, and we have plans for energy efficiency advice, thermographic photography and heat loss advice and other services.

Any amount you can donate will help to sustain our development work until we are able to launch a community share offer for specific projects which are currently in the pipeline and which should help us build a sustainable, independent organisation.

We also need funding to cover insurance, to fund our communications campaigns around energy efficiency and our community outreach to grow our membership and partnerships.

In the absence of a volunteer to act as Secretary to the organisation and maintain a high quality of governance, we may need to fund a professional to provide this service.

Your donation will ensure that we can get to the next stage of our development, to continue our important work of helping the people and organisations of Buckinghamshire to reduce their energy use, and decarbonise.

How to donate – by BACS

How to donate – via PayPal

Thank you for supporting community energy to decarbonise and do our bit to get to Net Zero as soon as possible.

Volunteer

We are currently looking for Volunteers for the following roles:

Leaky Homes Roadshow Camera Operative

We have applied for funding for a thermographic camera to enable us to provide a thermal imaging service to homeowners to enable them to see where their homes are leaking heat.

The role involves four hour shifts on selected dates in different towns and villages across Buckinghamshire. You will be trained to take photos of the outside of people’s homes, analyse the images and give informal energy saving advice based on the findings from the images.

Expenses will be paid, and we run the Roadshows in the winter months only.

How to apply

If you would like to apply for this role, please send your CV to kirsty@buckscommunityenergy.org, or call on 07905 147 649 for a chat about what’s involved.
