Our houses are a lot like teenagers. They make us spend more money than we want to, let heat out and draughts in, and lose energy at inconvenient moments. If you want to know where your house is losing heat so you can:

…why not sign up for a visit from the Leaky Homes Roadshow this winter and get a thermal image survey for just £60?

This is a very basic survey but you’ll get thermographic images of the front, back and sides of your house, and a report with an explanation of what the images show, and advice on how to plug the holes in your leaky home.

    The Chesham event is in conjunction with Sustainable Chesham. The Princes Risborough event is being run with Climate Action Now, Risborough.

    At the moment we are not planning any more events for this winter due to staff and volunteer availability but if your community would like the Leaky Homes Roadshow to visit next winter, please email us on info@buckscommunityenergy.org to request that we put a date in for you, and we will see what we can do.

    We are hiring!

    We are looking for staff to carry out Leaky Homes Roadshow surveys this winter – the season runs from late November to the beginning of March. If you have some experience of thermal imaging and would like to earn some extra money doing the surveys and writing the reports for homeowners, please email us at kirsty@buckscommunityenergy.org for more details.

We are currently talking to a number of Parish Councils, schools and business owners about potential projects.

If you would like to see if Buckinghamshire Community Energy can help your organisation to reduce your carbon emissions and do business in a way that is better for the planet, please contact us. We will ask you for:

  • Your current electricity and gas bills, ideally by month and time period if you have an Economy 7 tariff or your supplier can provide you with this information.
  • The contact details for whoever pays the bills, if it is not you.
  • Your site address.
