This week, we got a new website and have nearly finished creating it ready to launch into the world. We also began the registration process to register Buckinghamshire Community Energy as a community benefit society with the FCA.

We’re really seeing progress now, and getting a sense of how much we can do to help our community take action against global warming.

We now have three partners with whom we are discussing projects: Weston Turville Village Hall, Stoke Mandeville Community Hall and Chiltern Artisan. And we have made contact with Pod Point and Sevadis to get an idea of the work required and the costs of installing electric vehicle chargers at our partner sites.

The Founder Members are Kirsty Shanahan, Alex Beckett, Gavin Roberts and David Blackmore, and although we haven’t yet got a Secretary from outside the ranks of these intrepid pioneers, we are confident that we have the experience, knowledge and enthusiasm to get Buckinghamshire Community Energy off the ground.

Huge thanks to Paul Benfield for designing the logo and branding, and to Mark Cronin of EP Productions for the website.
